Paula Creamer Biography!

Paula Creamer became both the youngest ever and the first amateur to win the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament Presented by American Airlines in 2004. Her five shot victory earned exempt status for the 2005 season. Paula turned professional immediately following the final round.

AMATEUR CAREER

Paula Creamer was the top ranked female amateur in 2004 and was named the 2004 Amateur of the Year by both Golfweek and Golf Digest. Simultaneously, Paula Creamer was the top ranked Junior in both 2003 and 2004. Paula Creamer was named the 2003 American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) Player of the Year. Paula was also Golfweek's and Golf Digest's, 2003 Junior of the Year. She was a semifinalist at both the 2003 and 2004 U.S. Women's Amateur Championship and the U.S. Junior Girls' Championship. She won a total of 19 national titles including 11 AJGA tournaments. Creamer was a member of the victorious 2004 U.S. Curtis Cup and the 2003 Spirit Teams. Paula also represented the United States at the 2004 World Amateur Team Championships and the 2002 (victorious) and the 2003 PING Junior Solheim Cups. As an amateur she played in 10 LPGA events from 2003-04 and posted five top-20 finishes. Paula posted her top LPGA finish at the 2004 ShopRite LPGA Classic, where she finished second, one shot behind Cristie Kerr. Her additional top finishes in LPGA competition include a tie for 13th (tie for low amateur) at the 2004 U.S. Women's Open conducted by the USGA; 13th at the Wegmans Rochester LPGA Presented by Lincoln Mercury; tied for 18th at the BMO Financial Group Canadian Women's Open; and 18th at the Wendy's Championship for Children.
